IV Medical was founded to address the need for cost containment within the healthcare market by focusing on innovative products used to administer and monitor intravenous (IV) therapy.
In 2003, IV Medical entered into its first long-term manufacturing agreement with Abbott Laboratories to develop and supply the GraviTech® Flow Controller, a gravity-fed manual flow regulator used to administer IV therapy and medications to the patient with superior flow rate accuracy and the ability to compensate for changes in pressure. Hospira, a spinoff from Abbott Laboratories, acquired the GraviTech® in 2009.
Since that time, IV Medical has remained committed to developing innovative products that reduce overall cost to the end user. We market our products to large hospital supply manufacturers, major buying organizations and healthcare providers. In addition, our company works with well qualified inventors and startups in bringing their ideas through the medical device process.
Our business model is simple — we develop and bring to market innovative, safe and effective IV therapy products that lower overall cost to the end user through expertise, years of experience and key corporate relationships.
